Talking folk, Titanics, and absinthe with Mark Lombardo

Andrew Beam and Tom Caprood welcome listeners to the first episode of the Midday Ramble, the first podcasting venture from The Record, where they'll discuss entertainment in the Capital District, as well as other topics, every other Thursday.

In this episode, Andrew sits down with Mark Lombardo, of the folk band "Titanics" to talk about music, college, home brewing, and much more.

The two discuss Mark's new CD, "The New Wine," recording techniques, songwriting, the city of Oneonta, NY, folk music, work schedules, and a passion for brewing alcohol.

Lombardo also talks about a unique upcoming show on the J.P. Morgan cruise ship in Troy, which marks the 100th anniversary of the day the Titanic sank. The show runs from 7-11:30 p.m. on April 14 and is being presented by Heady Productions.
