London calling, theater and the arts with Bob Goepfert

Welcome to Episode 2 of The Record's Midday Ramble!

In this episode, Tom Caprood sits down with Bob Goepfert, arts and entertainment coordinator for both The Record and The Saratogian.

The two discuss Bob's history in the Capital District arts scene (Did you know he used to manage Albany's Palace Theater?), the arts overseas, the pros and cons of community theater, and which upcoming local shows might be worth seeing.

Tom also provides details of an arts forum that The Record and The Saratogian are hosting on April 24 at Russell Sage College in Troy, the full details of which are at the beginning of the episode.

During the forum, several prominent leaders of major arts institutions will participate and offer their thoughts on how their organizations have been impacted by the economy. More importantly, they will offer their vision on the future of the arts in the Capital District. Will it be growth, down-sizing, collaboration or mergers?

You can register for the arts forum at http://bit.ly/ArtsForum.
